"Simply Kids" Project

The pictured oak doll clothes storage cabinet was built as a service project for the "Simply Kids" child care group. Ginny Misch paid for the materials and the cabinet will be auctioned off to assist with the costs of moving Simply Kids to a new building.
Lanny Mabus coordinated the project and Lanny & Don Bickford used the construction activities to mentor Eddy Birk and Tom Malusky on woodworking and finishing techniques. Don constructed the raised panel oak doors with Tom & Eddy and Lanny demo'd face frame construction using pocket holes. Eddy & Tom completed the project with golden oak stain and hand rubbing on 2 coats of ARM-R-SEAL for a smooth finish.

Animal Shelter Project
Pictured are the black dog & cat cutouts that the Woodworkers were requested to build and install at the Ponce De Leon "animal shelter & recycling center turnoff".
