First 2005 Hillcrest Project

Twelve under bed storage units are being built during June and July. These are double drawer pine units that will be placed under the previously built 12 pine beds. The volunteer club workers on this project include: Lanny Mabus (project leader), Dave Kariker, Wayne Stabelfeldt, Al Guenther, Bob Porter, Bobby Deloach, Dan Piehl, Dave Harder, Dick Bunner, Dick McGuire, Dob Bickford, Don Pilz, Eddy Berk, Carl Who, Elton Benson, Frank Stoderl, Ken MacNeil, John Kennedy Ron Zirk, Phil Visser and Wally Johnson. A series of pictures are provided below where the 12 under bed storage units are being assembled.

Additional Planned Projects
	For 2005, there are 2 additional projects on the "drawing board". The first is to build 12 more pine beds corresponding to the 12 beds that were built in 2004 and the second is to assemble a large playgound equipment configuratioon purchased by Hillcrest.

First 2004 Hillcrest Project

Approximately, a dozen Woodworkers worked on several Saturdays, to build 12 heavy duty boy's beds.

The first of twelve pine beds is assembled after a multi-step process. Hillcrest requested that their boys apply the pine stain and finish for experience and pride of ownership.

Second 2004 Hillcrest Project

In November, the Woodworker volunteers continued with the second project to build pine shelves to mount above girl's beds.

Twelve pine shelf units were built for mounting above the girls beds. Again, Hillcrest requested that their girls paint the shelves for experience and pride of ownership.
